Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is exhausting in a way that's hard to explain to someone who hasn't lived it.
It's not just the physical discomfort. It's the mental load of managing around it every single day. The things you've stopped doing, or started doing differently, or quietly given up on. The appointments that didn't help. The explanations that didn't quite fit. The slow, creeping fear that this might just be your life now.
It doesn't have to be.
Chronic pain is one of the most misunderstood things we treat, and also one of the most important. Because when pain has been present for months or years, the body has usually adapted around it in ways that need to be understood before anything can truly change.
That's why we start with a real assessment. Not a checklist. A conversation and a thorough evaluation to figure out what's actually driving your symptoms, whether that's a long-standing musculoskeletal issue like back, neck, pelvic, or ankle pain, or something more complex like POTS, dysautonomia, or vagus nerve dysfunction.
Yes, we work with all of that.
From there, we build a plan around you specifically. Hands-on therapy, personalized movement and exercise programming, stretching, Functional Manual Therapy, Visceral Manipulation. Not every tool is right for every person, and we don't treat it like it is.
What doesn't change is the level of attention you get. Every session, every visit, Dr. BettyLou is in the room with you. Watching how you move, listening to what's shifted, adjusting as your body responds.
Chronic pain is hard. But you don't
have to go through it alone.Chronic pain has a way of making people feel like they've already tried everything. Sometimes that's true. But more often, the missing piece was someone willing to look at the whole picture instead of just the part that hurts.
That's what we do here.
“If you're ready to stop managing and start actually getting somewhere, let's talk.”
